As the founder and owner of The Fire Firm, I am proud to bring over 14 years of extensive experience in fire testing, certification and fire regulations to my clients. I hold a Master of Science degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, specializing in building physics and acoustics. My passion for fire regulations began during my time working in the building industry, where I became more involved in fire prevention and regulations.
My journey into fire testing started at renowned testing institutes in The Netherlands and Sweden. Through these experiences, I gained invaluable knowledge about the complexities and intricacies of fire regulations and standards. This inspired me to establish The Fire Firm in 2014, with a goal to offer specialized services to manufacturers, testing institutes, and certification bodies.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with various clients from different industries. From small businesses to multinational corporations, my customers trust me for my expertise and dedication to delivering top-quality services.
My active involvement in European standardization committees has allowed me to shape the evolution of test standards governing penetration seals and linear joint seals. For more than a decade, I have actively contributed to European standardization committees, shaping the evolution of test and EXAP standards governing penetration seals and linear joint seals. My involvement includes pivotal roles in committees such as:
- CEN TC 127, Working Group 2, Task Group 1: EN 1366-3 Penetration Seals
- CEN TC 127, Working Group 2, Task Group 1: EN 1366-4 Linear Joint Seals
- CEN TC 127, Working Group 2, Task Group 2: EN 15882-3 Extended Application Results for Penetration Seals
For many years I have played an active role in EGOLF, the European Group of Organisations for Fire Testing, Inspection and Certification. Including the presentation of training courses for the testing of:
- EN 1366-3 Penetrations Seals
- EN 1366-4 Linear Joint Seals
- EN 1366-2 Fire Dampers
I have an extensive network in the fire community and have many contacts at fire testing institutes around Europe.
