Certification
Navigating Requirements for CE Marking
In most cases, certification is required for building products to enter the market. In the European Union you will need to CE mark your product, which necessitates a Certificate of Constancy of Performance, issued by a Certification Body. For other markets you might need a private label such as UL-EU, or P-Mark.
Whether representing a manufacturer or a Certification Body, I stand ready to navigate the complexities of regulatory compliance with precision and professionalism.
For Manufacturers
If you already have a Certification Body onboard for your existing product range, I can act as a go-between and negotiate requirements with regard to the CE marking of your product and make sure no steps are missed in the process that could influence the results.
For new products, I can recommend a partnership with reputable Certification Bodies around Europe that would be most suitable for your desired goals.
Building products that are not currently covered by a Harmonised European Product Standard (hEN), such as penetration seals, CE marking is not a requirement. Many manufacturers still choose the path of CE marking, mainly because it makes it far easier to approach all EU markets with the same certification. And because the competitors’ products are also bearing the CE mark.
In that case, a European Technical Assessment is required before a CE certificate can be issued. I can guide the process of selecting a Technical Assessment Body and make sure all requirements are fulfilled.
For Certification Bodies
Let me take on the task of conformity assessment of certification applications or act as Decision Maker before issuing the Certificate of Constancy of Performance.
